The proposals will improve this overlooked site in an innovative way, creating a new neighbourhood that promotes residents’ health and wellbeing and connection to nature.
The proposals will replace hard, tarmacked land with soft landscaping and a sustainable neighbourhood.
The new neighbourhood will include high-quality new homes – including much-needed affordable and family-sized homes – within an attractive new neighbourhood, centred around a vibrant public square.
An innovative and environmentally-friendly approach will be reflected in both the public spaces and the design and materials used for the new buildings.
Full details of the proposals can be found in the “Have Your Say” section of this website.
The site neighbours the Greenwich Millennium Village Masterplan, the Greenwich Peninsula West Masterplan and Charlton Riverside.
With Greenwich Millennium Village to the north of the site, the regeneration of Millennium Retail Park will connect the two areas via new cycle and pedestrian paths, providing further new homes in the area to create a greater sense of community.
Delivering new homes on this site will link the two sites and connect to the broader Greenwich Peninsula neighbourhood, which will provide benefits to the local community.
